About 2013 we had a Grackle bird problem in our backyard. Our yard is lined with arborvitae trees. Grackle’s love to nest in these. We never had Grackles prior to 2013 but then they came by the hundreds to nest. We have a large concrete patio back there about 60′ from the trees. This is the right distance for the birds to poop after leaving the trees. Our patio had 300 to 400 and maybe more poops on it every day and we had to take a high pressure nozzle on out hose to wash it off. Next day, same thing. Then my wife saw the Peregrine blowing in the light wind at a roadside stand that also sold hundreds of wind spinners, kites, etc. We bought one and put in our yard right next to the patio. In three days max. the Grackles were gone. Prior to the peregrine we tried aluminum pie plates, owls and other things to scare the birds. Nothing worked until the Peregrine joined us. We just bought another one for our front yard to scare other birds that attempt to nest on our porch, etc. Our Peregrine has been out in our Wisconsin yard for about 8 years all summer and is still in good shape. So, if you have a bird problem, the Peregrine may be a good solution for it!!!
