Description
BIOTHANE COATED WEBBING ANKLET MATERIAL
BioThane is a coated webbing that is used in making dog collars and many other products in the medical field. It is weather and abrasion resistant has a nice natural finish that looks like leather. Test results over the past few years with hawks and falcons have shown that this product holds up well with no stretching or degrading of the material. Even tugging and biting on them from new birds shows no effect and blood and dirt was right off. Now sold in 5 thicknesses, ½”, 5/8”, ¾”, 1” and 1.5″ all in 2ft lengths of brown color BioThane. (Cutting instructions come with each order.
WARNING: BIO-THANE NOT RECOMMEND FOR COLD WEATHER USE:
We have heard from a few customers over the past year that their Bio Thane anklets have become stiffer during the colder weather and that this could cause damage to their birds legs. So we recommend to anyone that is using Biothane on their birds in a state that has colder weather to keep a close watch on their birds anklets and legs during the colder weather. You may even want to lift the anklets up on your birds legs to make sure the legs look fine from time to time. Especially if your bird tends to bate off its perch a lot.
