KANGAROO MEDIUM WEIGHT BROWN HIDE – WHOLE  OR HALF HIDE

We offer only the best quality vegetable -tanned kangaroo skins for making jesses, anklets, bewits and hoods. We hand pick all of our skins to make sure you get excellent quality leather. Kangaroo is by far much stronger than most other leathers and lasts much longer. All leather comes with oiling and cutting instructions for best strength. (All kangaroo skins that we sell are from a species that are legally harvested in Australia).
Medium weight hides, 0.8mm – 1.0mm thickness: Best uses for hood making, jesses, anklets, braided leashes etc, for small falcons, Coopers, Sharp Shinn, Merlin, Kestrels.

Extra heavy weight, 1.2mm – 1.4mm thickness: Best uses for hood making, jesses, anklets, etc, for large female Red tails and large falcon size birds.

Heavy weight hides, 1.00mm 1.2mm thickness: Best uses for hood making, jesses, anklets etc, for Tiercel falcons, Female or Male Red tails/ Gos/hawks, Harris hawks.

Medium weight hides, 0.8mm – 1.0mm thickness: Best uses for hood making, jesses, anklets, braided leashes etc, for small falcons, Coopers, Sharp Shinn, Merlin, Kestrels.

Light weight hides, 0.6mm – 0.8mm: Best uses for hood making, fine braiding jesses, anklets etc for Merlin, Kestrel size birds.
