Falconry
A finite speck plunges earthward from atmospheric heights, following a path dictated by millions of years. Gathering momentum, the falcon rips the sky with an audible hiss. Evolution guides the split second reflexes of both predator and prey.

An aerial collison renders swift death and yet sustains life. Falconry’s legitimacy is not to be argued or regulated. It is to be recognized and respected as a force uniting us all.

Falconry transcends definition. Borne out of the minds and souls of Man, falconry captures those of us who recognize its link with the World’s life force. Falconry has deep, powerful meanings, varying with each individual, eluding those who are numb to the dynamics of our planet.

The possession of hawks and the killing of game are not the motivators. Falconers attach themselves to the essence of living and dying in an attempt to stay in touch with our own mortality and resurrection as a species. We are all entangled in this web of life. It is inescapable. Falconry is a link to our past and a guide to our future, and for some, it helps illuminate the mystery of purpose on earth.
